General Volunteer Information:

Football Games: Arrive approximately an hour and half prior to start of game. Check call time on website and go to the bandroom when you drop off your own child. Help students with dressing needs, snacks and water. Sit on sidelines with students during the game. Help put away uniforms after game.

Competitions:

Competitions are usually held on Saturdays. Call time is different for every event. It can be a very early start and a very late arrival home. You must be available for the entire day. Chaperones fide the bus with the students to and from event. Oversee safety and well being of students. You will help keep them hydrated throughout the day, as well as take attendance before each bus departure.

Senior Night:

We need all available non-senior parents to help out on this night dedicated to honoring the Senior students and their parents. There are many positions available from concession stand work, serving dinner to Seniors and football duties.

SCSBOA Concert Band:

Daytime event requiring volunteers during the day to sell concessions.

Christmas Parades:

Ride bus with students to and from events. Keep students hydrated, take attendance before each bus departure, walk length of parade with students and help with uniform needs.

Winter Drumline Competition at Great Oak:

All parents, friends and family are needed for these events. Even if your student is not in drumline, this is a fundraiser for the entire band. There are many different positions available from parking lot duty, concessions, checking wristbands, ect.

Dress Code for Events:

Khaki pants or blue jeans, comfortable shoes and a tour shirt if you have one. If not a red shirt would be great.

Helpful Hints:

Bring a backpack, money for possible extra spending, reading material and snacks for long days, and your cell phone.
